Hello 2018

As I write this I am sitting outside sipping my morning cup of coffee while still a little jet lagged from my adventure to Europe. It’s only been the first week of the New Year but already I can feel how special this year will be. Traveling to the Czech Republic for Christmas and seeing family was the cherry on top to a good year and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to welcome 2018 in Barcelona with R. Unplugging from blogging and social media was just the break I needed over the holiday and now I feel rejuvenated and reenergized, ready to take on the year ahead.

The next big thing on my to-do list this year is to take on my architecture exams. This is the last weekend for a few weeks where I won’t have my nose in books studying. With that being said I hope to work on as many blogposts this weekend so they can be done to share with you in the coming weeks but please be patient as I will have to prioritize my studying.

In just two months I will be celebrating my birthday with friends and family in Whistler. R and I took our first big trip to Whistler during our second year of university and we are both excited to go back. We have rented a huge place right on the slopes and have invited a great group of friends. For Christmas I got a new pair of skis and can’t wait to break them in. The pair I owned before I have had since about middle school so you can only imagine what an upgrade I got.

I don’t have any big New Year resolutions, honestly I just want to pass that damn exam and move on to the other six I have to take. As for adventures I hope to go on, we have our Whistler trip planned and are in the works for finalizing some trips in late spring but as I learned last year you never know what will come your way so I am keeping an open mind and open schedule.

I have so many exciting posts to share from my travels to Europe in the next few weeks so stay tuned! Wishing you all a happy 2018 and I look forward to following you on your adventures =o)

What are you looking forward to this year?

  2. I’m so glad that you got to spend that time with your family over the holidays! And exploring Barcelona must’ve been amazing (we want to see pics!). I’ve wanted to go there since college! Snowboarding in Whistler is definitely something we want to check off the list too. We’re honestly just so excited for this coming year and all of the opportunities that it’s going to bring. Travel, professional, growing ourselves personally… It’s going to be a great year all around!

    1. Latest post is up with photos of Barcelona =o) You guys should add it to your list of places to visit. I think you would really love the food and especially the city. There is so much to do and see.

I am a bit of your skiing trip! I haven’t been on a slope for a couple of years – and I most certainly wont go in the nearest future with a baby-bump (can you imagine!! Hahaha)
