Packing for my Miami Adventure

(Just bought this new fossil bag for my summer travels! Get it here)

My bags are almost packed for my next adventure: a weekend getaway to Miami with my mom! The bright sun, walks on the beach, and warm evenings were enough to lure me to book a flight back in February. I have been counting down the days since. This mini adventure couldn’t come fast enough especially because the past few weeks have been a whirlwind of events, from an overload of deadliness at work, having social events after work and figuring out future plans career wise and life wise it is safe to say I need a break. I shouldn’t complain because I do love staying busy and having a full schedule, but there comes a time that you just need to pack up and hideaway for a few days. I also haven’t taken a day off since the beginning of January and for those of you who work in the US you know the long and dreadful wait from New Year’s Day to Memorial Day in May where you get a day off for the first time in what feels like forever. Our firm has been working on two large residential projects that have been on the same schedule and due to the small size of our firm we have been working overtime and meeting deadlines every week. It will be nice to get away to Miami and this trip also marks the start of my summer travels!
Any places you recommend checking out in Miami?

  1. How exiting you're heading to Miami, and that you're going with you mum! I love travelling with my mum too 🙂 I've never visited Miami and so unfortunately have no recommendations, but I hope you have the most fantastic time!!

  2. It's been far too long since I had a vacation. I envy you're upcoming adventure in Miami! I'd love to go visit family in Kentucky this summer. Your fossil bag has some awesome goodies! Is it weird I fancy the plant most?

  3. I haven't been to Miami, but I have friends that live there and they tell me that the Cuban food is incredible! Definitely indulge in some media noche or empanadas!
