Bundling Up

Long sunlit days are over in Chicago but thankfully we were given a few extra warm days to enjoy. To help me embrace the cooler weather I treated myself to some new sweaters, coats and accessories. One of the highlights of living in a place with different seasons is you get to shop for the new season. In fall the days become chillier and you get to throw on your favorite scarf or newly bought cardigan sweater.

Thankfully the sun was out while I was taking photos but when the wind caused a cool breeze, I was able to snuggle into my new wrap. It’s a must to layer in the fall especially because the weather can be so unpredictable. Sunny in the morning on the way to work and snowing on the way home. A day which I have experienced living in Chicago and those of you in cold regions understand. Wearing a loose sweater, cardigan or wrap lets me be able to add as many layers as I want so I can stay comfy and warm.

Wide brim hats are in fashion this fall and I couldn’t resist buying one for myself. In the past few years I have quickly become attracted to hats especially since they can help me cover up a bad hair day or save me from the rain when I forget my umbrella. Hats are definitely becoming a part of my wardrobe.

If you live somewhere where it is warm all year around I have to admit I envy you. But having experienced warm weather all the time you really begin to appreciate it when it’s gone and you have something warm to bundle yourself in.
